The Project:

Winter Park Resort is building an affluent mountain village at its base, beginning with Zephyr Mountain Lodge. The Lodge, which will be nestled at the base of the mountain, will consist of two luxury condominium buildings (380,000 square feet with 230 units). Each condo will range in size from 700 – 1400 square feet. There will be 30,000 square feet of retail space and an 83,000 square feet underground parking garage.

This phase of construction consists of two buildings – the Riverside and the Slopeside. Skiers can easily ski out their door to the main Zephyr ski lift or walk to the Balcony House (the main ski lodge) and to several other ski services.

Groundbreaking was launched on July 16, 1998 with the building complete in January of 2000. Each building will be solidly constructed with a structural steel frame. Gabled roofs and exterior wood siding will lend a cozy ski village atmosphere to the Lodge. The project consists of custom light fixtures, addressable fire alarm system and modular wiring.
