Description: The project consists of a 4-level building with 449,290 total square feet including 76,100 square feet of clean room, and 224,645 square feet of shell building for future expansion. The CUB consists of 20,160 square feet for the chillers and boilers with an interconnecting utility tunnel to the FAB building.
Incoming electrical service is 12 MVA - 34.5KV to substation yard, with 15KV outdoor switchgear providing automatic switching of the main and tie breakers on loss of power to the FAB building, the CUB, and the Nitrogen Plant.
Distribution within the facilities is through four 2500 KVA double-ended unit substations, providing 480V, 3-phase power to process and non-process loads. Tool loads are served by "K"-rated transformers, and TVSS equipment has been provided for related distribution equipment.
Emergency and stand-by power is provided by two 1500 KW diesel generators in outdoor walk-in housings. UPS units provide ride-through capability for life safety and building management systems.
Systems provided in this facility include fire detection and early warning systems, public address, security and access control, CC1V, telecommunications cable tray, freeze protection for process piping and roof drains, lightning protection on the roof with bonding to roof-mounted equipment, and grounding of building steel and raised floor supports.
