|
Description of Work:
Electrical work for the project included three 15 KV primary services, 15 KV outdoor switchgear, six secondary unit substations, two 1500 KW emergency generators along with by-pass isolation automatic transfer switches, and new 15KV service for the existing facility. Power systems for the hospital included lighting, outlets, mechanical, kitchen and laundry equipment, line isolation monitoring including x-ray and laser. Low voltage systems included multiplex addressable fire alarm system, sound and paging, nurse call, code blue, doctors register, intercom, MATV, Local Area Network (LAN) and cable tray. The tele/data consisted of a copper and fiber backbone run from the MDF of the old hospital to the MDF in the new 11 story tower. There was also a copper and fiber backbone run from the tower MDF to an IDF on each floor of the tower. Tele/data copper horizontal distribution was installed on each floor of the new tower. The copper backbone and tele/data cables were terminated on 110 blocks and amp devices in the field. The fiber was terminated using amp plastic crimp at connectors. The electrical contract was awarded to Ludvik Electric based on a GMP provided from approximately 30% conceptual drawings and scope narratives. The electrical consultant had a contract with the architect. However, Ludvik Electric was responsible for assisting with the design effort and providing reviews to maintain the GMP and schedules. Ludvik Electric also provided most of the CADD drawings for installation. |
