CLEANROOM EXPERIENCE
The project consists of moving the Titan Centaur Final Assembly Plant from the Martin Marietta Plant in San Diego to Littleton, Colorado. Compressed design and construction schedules occurred as the cleanroom was to be turned over complete in six months.
The cleanroom was an addition of 41,400 square feet associated with a 150,000 square foot warehouse remodel to accommodate the testing areas, storage areas and the operations support area. An additional 14,300 square foot office addition and a 10,000 square foot mechanical support addition were part of this project. Two 10-ton and one 15-ton overhead cranes were added for missile transportation and assembly.
The main service consists of a 1500KVA substation and a 750KVA substation at 13.2KV - 480Y/277V which feeds the sophisticated network. Systems include communications, special cleanroom smoke removal, mechanical equipment, intercom, audio, UPS, instrumentation and an intense fire alarm system.
Reverberation Acoustical Lab Testing Facility: This project consists of remodeling the existing Acoustical and thermal lab to meet the Titan Missile requirements.
