CLEANROOM/WAFER TEST FACILITY REMODEL

LSI Logic Test Facility

Description of Work:

This project consists of a remodel of 13,600 square feet of an existing cleanroom space and 20, 800 square feet of utility space for a new wafer testing facility within a three month construction schedule.

The project includes installation of 550 feet of cable tray in the sub-fab utility space with tray cables providing power and CAT 5 data to testing equipment located in the cleanroom space above. Modifications to the existing power distribution system include new fusible switch units for distribution panelboards, new panelboards with 200 percent neutrals, additional motor control centers for make-up air handlers and HEPA filters, and associated feeders. Utility boxes equipped with duplex receptacles, CAT 5 data receptacles, process dry air and vacuum were provided in the cleanroom space to serve the wafer testing equipment requiring 155 core drilled holes through the cleanroom structural floor slab.
