GMT 600 Program, Information and Data Connectivity

Description of Work:

Project consisted of the GM Wentzville Car Assembly Plant being modified to a new GMT 600 Full Size Van Line Assembly Plant. This contract called for data highway cabling from the Engineering and Production Group and NATG Facilities Engineering in the plant to PLC and mobile computer terminals throughout the facility. The data highway cabling design and installation is incorporated in the conveyor systems, tooling, and process equipment. The scope of work also included general 120V convenience power for monitor modules throughout the plant. Bar code "smart eye" identification readers were installed to identify product going through work stations at the paint shop.
