FLATIRON CROSSING MALL Broomfield, Colorado ![]() |
||
| Description of
Work: Flatiron Crossing, a new, 1.5 million square foot regional mall will integrate an upscale fashion mall with an outdoor park and a contemporary main street so that they look like a single project instead of two projects setting side by side; all-the-while, blending naturally within their rustic surroundings. The 170-acre Flatiron site lies at the intersection of 96th Street and the Boulder Turnpike. Ludvik Electric Co.s contract for this new development in Broomfield, Colorado consists of 700,000 square feet of retail space, which includes a 30,000 square foot, 750-seat food court area. The core building has two levels with the food court being located on the upper tier. The current scope of work for the core and shell includes installation of secondary power from the public utility to four separate electric rooms. Each of these main services are 4000 amps. Also included in the work is the installation of the main mall lighting that is comprised of custom built decorative fixtures, power distribution, sound, communications and fire alarm throughout. This scope of work also includes installing a lightning protection system for the core building. The lighting package valued at nearly $1,000,000 contains many custom chandeliers, which are suspended in the high clearstory space. Ludvik will provide a feeder raceway to each future tenant space, along with tenant fire alarm provisions. All roof top handlers are to be installed and powered. |
