The Project
The Clayton Foundation is constructing a new learning facility for the under privileged and those with learning disabilities. As part of this contract we will be constructing a new dual-winged
school building, as well as renovating an existing dormitory (formerly an Orphanage constructed in 1911). The original plan called for the demolition of this dormitory, however, it was discovered that the building was placed on the National Historical Registry and could not be destroyed. The project more specifically calls for the following:
- Construction of a 32,800 square foot Child Development Center
- Renovation of a 4,500 square foot power house into Administrative Offices
- Renovation of the 8,800 square foot NE Dormitory
- Card Access Security
- CCTV
- Fire Alarm
- Paging System
- Electrical Distribution Equipment
Ludvik Electric’s contract with Kiewit Building Group also consists of
Lighting Control, HVAC and associated controls. The dormitory remodel will be challenging due to the fact that the architects intent is to maintain the integrity of the original 1911 architecture. |
