BREWERY EXPERIENCE

Anheuser-Busch Western Malting Facility - Phase 1

Idaho Falls, Idaho

Description of Work:

A malting and grain storage facility located near Idaho Falls, Idaho, 4,670 feet above sea level and in an earthquake zone 3 area.

The facility receives and stores grain, separates the barley into seed and by-product and loads out barley, seed, by-product and malt into rail cars and trucks.

The process area is classified as a Class II, Division I, Group G Hazardous Area.

The electrical construction includes power distribution, fire protection system, lighting and building services. Also, it includes mechanical systems, process control systems, instrumentation and a fire protection system.

The electrical power distribution includes a duct bank system, 15kV switchgear, 12.5kV/4160V power transformers,

5kV switchgear, 4000 amp buss duct, 5kV motor control centers and 480V motor control centers.

The fire protection systems consists of explosion proof horns, manual pull stations, smoke detectors and heat detectors.

The lighting and building services includes roadway lighting, building lighting, UPS system, welding outlets and power outlets.

The mechanical process and control systems are for bucket elevators, tripper conveyors, belt conveyors, screw conveyors, and drag conveyors, weigh scales and dust collection systems with associated control devices.

The electrical work includes the instrumentation calibration and commissioning of the state-of-the-art Rosemont computer process control system.
