| Description of Work: This project consisted of a 367,000 square foot multi-story Army base headquarters building with access floor system throughout the facility. The project included a 15KV overhead and underground building service with three paralleled 1400 KW emergency generator sets with associated synchronizing paralleling switchgear. Project systems included 500 KVA UPS unit for computer power, lighting system, MATV and intercom. Project site included 82 acres with infrastructure for 15 KV distribution and telecommunications, ball park lighting, helipad with aircraft lighting, street lighting and traffic signal. Design and build L.A.N. and E.T.V. (Educational TV System) for 367,000 square foot base headquarters building. Contract also included installation of complete telephone cabling system supporting 1700 stations. Local Area Network System has fiber optic backbone and utilizes digital drops to support over 640 current stations. The LAN is expandable and will allow up to 1700 users access for future growth. TCP/IP/IEEE 802.3' protocol is used to support Asynch, Bisynch, and ANS languages on the network. The ETV systems utilizes a broadband transmission medium to support over 100 stations. |
