The Project

This project is located at the west end of Lionshead in Vail, CO.  This project will be a 5 star facility.  The building has two underground garage levels, a garden level and six stories above the Garden level which have residences (Center and West wings) and Club Units (East wing).  The building has a total of 562,593 square feet.  There are a total of 117 residences/units.  The building also has a small area for retail, owner storage units, a fitness area, and two lounges.  Electrically the building is served by four services, two at 208V and two at 480V.  The Residences and Club units are serviced by meter banks fed from two vertical bus ducts.  The emergency power is provided by a 600KW genset.  The systems include Fire Alarm, Smoke Management, Intrusion Control, Security, Intercom, Sound, Tele/Data/MATV/CATV, CCTV, Lightning Protection, Broadband Antennas, Heat Trace and Snow Melt.  The project is scheduled to be completed in August of 2010.  The General Contractor is PCL.  The owner is Vail Resorts Development Company.  The lower levels are precast construction with the upper levels being post tensioned decks.  The General Contractor and major subcontractors are currently working on 3D CADD drawings for coordination of the various trades.
