The Education Facility II / Academic Offices East at Fitzsimmons project is two 5 story buildings connected by a single story bridge, at the second level, over East 17th Place. The North Building is 133,721SF and the South Building is 85,412SF. The first level of both buildings is slab on grade.
Both buildings have classrooms varying in size up to 600 seats on the first two levels. The larger classrooms with raised seating levels are sometimes poured concrete and otherwise metal stud with plywood. The third, fourth and fifth levels are primarily offices. Floors above grade are steel beam with decking.
The current division of responsibilities for Division 16 scope of work is as follows:
Interior Fixtures – By LE
Lighting Control – By LE, includes occupancy sensors, lighting control systems and emergency power control devices. This system also has to interface with the A/V controls.
Switchgear – By LE
Relocated 13.2KV Switch – By LE – May be subcontract.
Generators / Transfer Switches – East of the North Building we have a 200KW Genset with three transfer switches. The Fire Pump transfer switch is furnished by Division 15. East of the South Building we have a 150 KW Genset with three transfer switches. The Fire Pump transfer switch is furnished by Division 15.
Tele/Data – Rough-in by LE
Fire Alarm – By LE – EST System.
A/V – Rough-in by LE
Security – Rough-in by LE
Cable Tray – By LE, outside of Telcom rooms.
Pipe Grid – By LE in Video Studio P28-5206 (5th Floor – North Building).
Smoke Control – Power to dampers by LE.
Sealing Sleeves – LE to seal Telcom sleeves after cable is installed B.O.
Site Lighting – By LE
High Voltage Ductbank – By LE – May be subcontract.
High Voltage Cable and Terms - By LE – May be subcontract.
Low Voltage Ductbank – By LE
Trenching/Excavation - By LE – May be subcontract.
Lightning Protection – Alternate #E2. If accepted we provide PVC conduits for downleads. All other work by subcontractor.
Grounding – By LE – Ground Loop/Counterpoise may be by Lightning Protection Subcontractor.
Mechanical – VFDs and starters furnished by the MC. Disconnect switches, not specified to be furnished with the equipment will be furnished by LE. We will create a spreadsheet with a list of all equipment showing who provides the VFD, starter and or disconnect switch and have the MC confirm it.
