The Project

The Ameristar Casino Hotel is a 34-story hotel, constructed to the existing parking garage and casino. It is being constructed at 111 Richman Street, Black Hawk, Colorado 80422

The hotel consists of 637,075 square feet of building area, 31 stories above ground, 534 guest rooms and suites, and three levels underground.

Level 1:            Back of House Services, Boiler Room, House Keeping and laundry Room.  Level 2:     Hotel Lobby, Administrative Offices and Storage.
Level 3.5:         Meeting Rooms, Electrical & Mechanical Rooms.
Level 5:            Events Center.
Level 6:            Currently not designed. 
Level 7:            Electrical & Mechanical Rooms, the majority of this level is in design.
Level 8:            Electrical & Mechanical Rooms, a small portion of this level is in design.
Level 9:            Health Spa and Hospitality Suite Lounge.
Level 10:          Hospitality Suites and Guest Rooms
Levels 11-31:   Guest Rooms
Level 32:          Pool Equipment, Mechanical & Electrical
Level 33:          Pool Deck

The project NTP was received on July 6, 2006, final subcontract agreement issued on September 19, 2006 with an Interim Milestone Date of November 25, 2008, substantial completion of December 19,2008 and a Project final completion date of February 19, 2009.

The project was substantially delayed on November 28, 2006 by unstable rock on the north side. This will require the relocation of the Fire Pump Room before removal of the rock can continue.  Hensel Phelps is to revise the schedule to reflect these revisions.
