The Project

The Metro Wastewater Reclamation District is upgrading the processes that it currently utilizes for the treatment of it’s reclaimed water prior to it’s being discharged into Sand Creek. This project will facilitate the removal of the plant’s existing chlorine treatment process and replace it with a safer treatment process that utilizes Sodium Hydrochloride and Sodium Bisulfate. This project which is located northeast of Denver includes the following:

  • Construction of a new 32,000 sq.ft. Disinfection building
  • Construction of two new Chemical Dosing buildings
  • Modifications to two existing sample buildings
  • Modifications to an existing Sulfur Dioxide building
  • Demolition of an existing temporary Sodium Bisulfate building
  • Installation of a new emergency Generator
  • Installation of a Site Ductbank raceway system
  • Card Access Security
  • CCTV
  • Fire Alarm
  • Paging System
  • High Resistance Grounding
  • Electrical Distribution Equipment
  • Motor Control Centers

Ludvik Electric’s $1,607,000.00 contract with RN Civil Construction also consists of Process Instrumentation and Controls which will communicate via the Distributed Control System (DCS) through Distributed Control Units (DCU) and Real Time Data Servers (RTDS). The new facilities will then communicate with the existing plant PLC’s through a Fiber Optic Network.
