The Expansion added 1,343,496 sq. ft. to the • 2 Ballrooms totaling 85,000 sq. ft. To accommodate the construction process and ultimately the large crowds flowing in and out of the conference center the addition of a new parking structure was necessary. The parking structure includes a walkway to the Denver Performing Arts Center. Before it could be erected at the planned location both the RTD Light Rail and Stout Street had to be rerouted to run under General Contractor: Hensel Phelps Construction Co.Colorado Convention Center
