Located on US Route 160, built at an elevation of over 10,000ft the tunnel allocates for two-way vehicle and pedestrian traffic. This 1052ft long, 44ft wide and 27ft tall tunnel consists of: • 2 concrete canopies for snow slide protection • Tunnel exit and entry de-icing system • Variable intensity lighting at portals for driver's • Message signs for roadway conditions • CCTV monitoring • Carbon monoxide monitoring system • Fire detection system • Emergency power generation • Security alarm system All of the above are monitored via the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) located over 150 miles away in Hanging Lake, CO General Contractor: ASI RCC, IncWolf Creek Tunnel
